Austin Walker's Biography
Austin Walker was born in Torrance, California, and grew up in a Christian home. At age two, he and his family moved to Benton, Arkansas, where he began to enjoy the forest and the outdoors. In 2001, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and he became an active skateboarder at Calvary's skate park. He spent his years in high school working to become a good communicator, teacher, and architect. Months after graduating, Austin devoted himself completely to the Lord, and he served for three years at the Mix Gameroom & Skatepark while attending a community college.
In the fall of 2013, he accepted the invitation to Calvary's School of Ministry, where he discovered his calling to leadership ministry to bring a message of hope to the hurting. Austin committed his time in school to study and fellowship, and he served in various ministries. He spent his study time at a local coffee shop, where he met his wife, Kelsey.
Austin graduated from the School of Ministry in May 2014 and continued to serve at the Mix Gameroom & Skatepark. Afterward, he served in custodial at Calvary before he was invited to serve at the Calvary Santa Fe campus as the volunteer youth pastor. In January 2015, he began to work as a barista at Solomon's Porch while continuing to serve in various ministries around Calvary. As his education in coffee grew, so did his passion to provide the perfect cup for each customer.
In July 2015, Austin accepted the position to serve as a pastoral intern at Calvary Albuquerque. He is now an assistant pastor and oversees the Welcome Home Ministry.
