Neil Ortiz's Biography
Neil Ortiz became a Christ-follower in July 1993 while visiting Palm Springs, California, where friends who attended Calvary Albuquerque led him to faith in Christ. After returning to New Mexico the following week, he visited Calvary Albuquerque with those same friends and has been a part of this church ever since. He graduated from Calvary Albuquerque's School of Ministry in 1995 and Calvary Albuquerque's Shepherd's School in 1996. He has served the church in various capacities during his twenty-plus years of ministry, including teaching various Bible studies and church services, leading various ministries, leading short-term mission trips to fourteen different countries, as well as managing Parchments bookstore from 1996 to 2000. Pastor Skip invited him to join the pastoral team in 2000, and he was ordained on February 27, 2001. In his role as an assistant pastor, Neil served as the director of the School of Ministry from 2000 to 2003 and missions pastor and director of Calvary Albuquerque Missions from 2004 to 2013.
Neil and his wife, Jackie, have three daughters: Jaden Sage, Julia Tess, and Suri Joy.
Neil is the executive pastoral administrator and is responsible for the pastoral ministry, Bible Island Children's Ministries, Ministry Support, she Ministries, Reload Love, the Safety Ministry, and the Mix Gameroom and Skatepark.
