Freedom Celebration

This July 5, we invite you to a two-fold celebration of freedom as we not only celebrate Independence Day, but also our freedom in Christ. The fun-filled celebration includes:
• Soft Toy City - $3.00 (wristband includes unlimited access to soft toys)

• Pastoral Dunk Tank (by donation)
• Hamburgers, hot dogs, and Hawaiian Ice for sale

Calvary Kids - Parenting Class

Parenting is a greatly rewarding commission, but it does come with its share of trials. The Calvary Kids Ministry would like to welcome all parents to a series of Parenting Classes on Monday evenings, from 6:00-7:30 PM in the COVE. Each of the five classes is designed with a primary focus, but all expound on the importance of biblical parenting.
This Monday, July 6, join us as we look at "An Overview of Biblical Parenting," using the book "Faith Begins at Home." We'll cover topics such as The Home Makeover, The Parent Makeover, the Child Makeover, The Extended Family Makeover, and The Church Makeover.

School of Worship Information Night

School of Worship (SOW) is for those who are experienced musicians and feel called to the music ministry. The school consists of combined courses in Leading Worship, Audio & Recording, Music Theory, Theology of Worship, History of Worship, and an Instrument Laboratory.
There will be an information night on Tuesday, July 7, at 6:30 PM in the PLEX with SOW Director Nick Crespo, who will share the vision, purpose, and structure of the school, as well as answer any questions you may have.

Worship and Communion - July 2009
We invite you to come and share in a special night of worship and communion service on Wednesday, July 8. Join us as we share communion as a body in remembrance of Jesus sacrifice for us.

Plus Singles Summer Retreat

The Plus Singles Summer Retreat will be at El Vado Lake from July 10-12! We will meet in the parking lot at Calvary of Albuquerque at 7:00 AM on Friday and come back on Sunday afternoon. M88 Volleyball Tournament

LAFF Monthly Meeting

Calvary Leadership Training

Are you interested in being a home fellowship leader, host home, or getting involved in many other ways at Calvary? We are holding a two-day Calvary Leadership Training on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 AM-12 Noon, and Sunday, July 12, from 6:00-9:00 PM in the HUB.
Pastor Chip Lusko will teach the class with topics including Calvary history & culture, vision & perspective, doctrinal essentials, leading & feeding, home fellowship structure, host home policies, and involvement & serving opportunities. No preregistration is required, and ministry involvement applications will be available at the meeting.
Reveal 10

The Calvary Skate Park is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary and you are invited to this grand celebration on Friday, July 17. Reveal 10 will kick off at 10:00 AM with an open skate time, registration for the Reveal 10 Skate Competition, and a local shop expo. The skate competition will run from 12:00 Noon-5:00 PM, is free to enter, and includes divisions for various age groups as well as girls, guys, and sponsored division. First place winners will receive an Apple iPod Nano, and all divisions 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive a medal.
Join us for the competition and be sure to bring out the whole family as we wrap up the night with food, music, games, and a whole lot of fun from 5:00-10:00 PM.
The Skate Competition is one-minute of solo free jam style. A valid ID, drivers license, or sponsored letter must be presented at time of registration. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian fill out a Calvary Skate Park Waiver.
Vocal Artistry Tour
The Vocal Artistry Tour is coming to Calvary on Friday, July 17, 6:00-9:30 PM, and Saturday, July 18, 9:00 AM-12:30 PM in the HUB. All singers and worshippers are invited to learn from nationally acclaimed vocal coach Tim Carson in this highly engaging training event. For more information, visit vocalartistry.com.
Guest Speaker - Don McClure
Please join us as we welcome Pastor Don McClure on the weekend of July 18-19. Pastor Don co-founded Calvary Way Ministries with his wife Jean, and serves as the Director of the new Montana Bible School at Potter's Field Ranch. With a simple and practical teaching style, he seeks to encourage, inspire, and challenge believers in their desire to know our Lord Jesus and serve Him with all of their hearts and lives.
Calvary services are held each Saturday at 6:30 PM or Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:15 AM.
Crisis Caregivers Training
When: Starts Saturday 7/25/2009 8:00:00 AM - Ends Monday 7/27/2009 4:00:00 PM
Designed to prepare chaplains, first responders, school administrators and all educators for the inevitable crises that occur within schools and/or that effect those in schools, this training reflects the three most common phases of a crisis: pre-crisis planning, acute crisis response and post-crisis activities. This two-day training will be held on Saturday, July 25 from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, and will continue on Monday, July 27, from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM in the PLEX. Israel: More Than a Tour

M88 Golf Tournament

The 8th Annual M88 Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 with a 8:00 am shotgun. Located at the beautiful Isleta Golf Club, golfers will enjoy a game of 4-person team scramble 18-hole competition.
This day of fellowship and friendly competition will help support the outreach of M88 across the southwest with quality Christian music. Freedom Fest 2009
