SERIES: Night That Changed Everything, The
MESSAGE: Jesus Our Friend
SPEAKER: Skip Heitzig
SCRIPTURE: John 15:13-17

We can get through almost anything in life if we have good friends with which to share our sorrow and divide our grief. A Chinese word for friend is peng-yu, and has a much fuller meaning than its English translation. It means, "one who brings completion and sums up beauty." The ancient Hebrews saw true friendship as an ideal to pursue and a blessing to enjoy. In these final moments with His disciples, Jesus' terms for their relationship are the most tender. They were friends!
