SkateChurch
Posted: Wednesday, March 10, 2010SkateChurch welcomed about 25 young skaters for their weekly Bible Study on Tuesday night. The group joined together in a time of worship and prayer, and Caleb Chavez shared an important look at servanthood. He explained that effective service is carried out by those whose hearts are centered on God and also offered several examples of how to be involved in service at the Skate Park and through the For the Love of Skateboarding outreaches. Following the study, those who participated in SkateChurch were privileged to skate and enjoy fellowship with one another. SkateChurch takes place each Tuesday at 7 PM in the Calvary Skate Park, and everyone is welcome to join; skater or non-skater, young and old alike.

Update from Haiti
Posted: Monday, March 08, 2010Les Palmer has been busy in Haiti, conducting chaplaincy training, and ministering to the various needs of the community. Last Friday Les visited the hospital and visited with a 15-year-old girl named Pierre, who suffered an injury in the earthquake that left her paralyzed from the neck down. Les prayed with Pierre and nine of her family members to receive Jesus. He also prayed for her complete recovery. On a return visit, Les was taken into a room and shown that Pierre was sitting in a chair, able to move her head and feet, and was regaining some feeling in her hands! Please continue to pray for the nation as a whole, and for the individuals who have suffered great loss. Praise the Lord for the great work He is doing in the lives of many.
Visit the Crisis Caregivers website for more updates from Les.

March Connection Resource
Posted: Monday, March 01, 2010Today, much of the scientific world rejects the idea that the universe was designed by an intelligent Creator. The Connection has put together resources that will help you understand the battle for truth and establish a Biblical view concerning the origin of the universe. In the controversial film "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed," writer/actor Ben Stein seeks to end suppression of thinking outside of the evolutionary box, and asks the question "Why is no intelligence allowed in today's classrooms?"
Also included in this month's offer is "In the Beginning," by Skip Heitzig. In this new Life Style booklet, Skip examines the Genesis account of creation, and contrasts it with the teaching of evolution which denies the existence of God.
Order this resource package for just $25 by calling 1-800-922-1888 or order this resource online.
