Students Kick Off School Year at Back-to-School Party

On August 22-23, hundreds of students packed the park at Calvary for the Spectrum and Velocity Back-to-School Party. With many new kids in attendance, the students focused their hearts on God during a refreshing time of worship before hearing from God's Word. Kelly Bransford, pastor of Spectrum High School Ministry, delivered a short message about the importance of accountability. Kelly also challenged the students to sign up for a Spectrum or Velocity Group, which many of them did over the weekend. They spent their remaining time together playing in soft toys and enjoying a cookout.

August Connection Resource

What's your approach to life: long live the King, or long live me? We all too often choose ourselves, but we need to learn to radically seek the kingdom of God on a daily basis. Make that a priority with this month's Connection resource. Grow your knowledge of God's will and Word when you dig into three Lifestyle booklets from Skip Heitzig and two Refresh booklets from his wife, Lenya, on hard-hitting, relevant topics for the believer. You'll also receive all six life-impacting teachings from Skip's Sermon on the Mount series on CD, so you can keep your heart tuned in to the kingdom. It's time to seek God's kingdom first, and then buckle your seatbelt—living for the one true King is the adventure of a lifetime!

Order this special August resource from The Connection for a suggested donation of $30 or more. Place your order online or when you call 800.922.1888.
