Believers Learn to Allow God to Use Them

We continued our Expound Bible study in the book of John on Wednesday, August 24. We enjoyed fellowship and dinner from the food trucks in the amphitheater before service. After Battledrums opened the service in worship, Pastor Skip introduced Servy and Maria Pardo, who will be moving with their family to Prague, Czech Republic, to serve as missionaries. Those in attendance joined Pastor Skip in praying for this family as they prepare to take the next step in their ministry. Pastor Skip then continued our verse-by-verse study in the gospel of John, and challenged us to allow God to use us.

"When your life becomes a conduit rather than a reservoir, it's the highest place of satisfaction to know God used you today for His glory, for His purpose—nothing is better," he said.

As we looked at Jesus' ministry, we were reminded that He gives the most incredible invitation to quench the thirst of our lives. After the message, Pastor Skip invited anyone who wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior to come forward, and we rejoiced as many people chose new life in Christ.
