Ladies Learn about Time Management at Titus 2 Day

Ladies studied biblical principles and learned practical tips on time management at she Ministries' Titus 2 Day on Tuesday, October 21. Once again, she Ministries' took a break from their Live Hopefully study in the book of Nehemiah to examine the Titus 2 traits that women should possess. Bekah Lusko and Natalie Wylie opened the night by sharing beautiful worship songs about God's unconditional and unrelenting love. Before Zanetta Romero made announcements, the ladies surprised her by wishing her a happy birthday. Then Maria Guy began her teaching "Making the Most of Your Time" from Titus 2:3-5, describing the types of roles and callings women have. Explaining the differences between core, feminine, and personal callings, Maria stressed the importance of keeping these callings in order so that women know which activities should be their priorities. Maria reminded them about the brevity of life and how they must be wise with their time so they can make their life count for the kingdom of God. After she offered some practical guidelines for managing time, the ladies broke into their small groups to discuss more tips on making the most of the time God has given them.

Believers Display Devotion to Christ at October Baptism

Families and friends gathered in the amphitheater on Sunday, October 19, to cheer on loved ones who publicly affirmed their belief in Christ by being baptized. Children who wanted to make a profession of their faith were baptized first, followed by a general baptism for adults. Before the celebration began, Pastor Neil Ortiz explained the significance of baptism and, as Ryan and Natalie Wylie shared songs of praise, believers made a public identification with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection.

Dr. John Warwick Montgomery Defends the Christian Faith

World-renowned apologist Dr. John Warwick Montgomery defended the Christian faith in three different presentations, October 13-15. Each night, Pastor Skip proudly introduced Dr. Montgomery as someone he has learned from and greatly admires. An international lawyer and modern philosopher, Dr. Montgomery presented "The Historical Case for Jesus Christ" on Monday, October 13, and "A Lawyer's Defense of Christianity" on Tuesday, October 14, at Calvary Nob Hill in the Lobo Theater. On both evenings, the theater was packed as Dr. Montgomery argued for the authenticity of New Testament documents, Jesus' claim to deity, the reliability of eyewitnesses in the Bible, and Jesus' resurrection. Each presentation was followed by a Q & A session, where people asked for tips on evangelizing and where to find more resources on defending the Christian worldview. Then, during the Expound service on Wednesday, October 15, at Calvary Albuquerque, Dr. Montgomery answered the question "Can We Trust the Bible?" He tackled the issue of the Bible's inerrancy and addressed both Jesus' view of Scripture and the importance of biblical authority. The evening ended as the others did: with a Q & A session and a standing ovation in honor of the work Dr. Montgomery has done to defend the Christian faith and stand up for Jesus Christ.
