At Expose Brian Nixon Addresses the Validity of Jesus' Existence

On Thursday, March 23, Calvary Nob Hill welcomed Dr. Brian Nixon as the speaker for the launch of Expose: Connecting Faith and Reason through Conversation. This weekly outreach is designed to engage skeptics with the truth of Scripture. This week, Dr. Nixon discussed Jesus’ last days, citing historical evidence from both non-Christian historians and biblical prophecy that verifies Christ's existence. The audience then had the opportunity to tweet their questions about this topic, and Dr. Nixon, along with Pastors Jason Mills and Sean Kerwin, addressed issues including whether Jesus possessed a sin nature and why a loving God required a blood sacrifice.

Challenge Men Learn a Godly Perspective of Sex

Challenge Men in Ministry gathered for their monthly rally on Saturday, March 11. They enjoyed breakfast and fellowship, along with impactful worship with Battledrums. In his message "The Importance of Oneness," Martin Rascon taught that many men—even Christian men—have the wrong idea about what sex is all about. As they studied 1 Corinthians 6:12-17, the men learned that the purpose of their bodies is for the Lord. Martin shared that sex has a spiritual component, and there is a spiritual price tag when we don't follow God's design for it. He encouraged the men to continue in sanctification and strive to live their lives in such a way that it would be an example of the intimacy and oneness we have in our Christian walk. After the message, the men broke into small groups to discuss how they can work to establish a godly perspective of sex and teach others to do the same.
