Join a Connect Group

What are Connect Groups? Not awkward circles or mini home churches or judgmental groups—but authentic, life-giving, gospel-centered communities. Connect Groups are our intentional approach to community and discipleship within the church. These home-based community groups are a place to learn how to apply the Bible, build friendships, and serve—a place to live life together. They are the way in which we can gather under the Word of God and then scatter for the mission of God. Connect Groups make our very large church more intimate and a place for people to call home. Next to worship and Bible teaching, they are the most important thing we do.

Visit calvaryabq.org/connect to find a group near you.

Caring Tree

The Caring Tree is an evangelical outreach that provides Christmas gifts to the residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Each year since 1991, the outreach delivers an average of 600 gifts, and we need your help to reach our goal. By selecting the name of a resident from the Caring Tree in Solomon's Porch and blessing them with a special gift and prayer, you can share the love of Christ this Christmas. Please return your gifts by Sunday, November 26.

October Connect with Skip Heitzig Resource

Our society is increasingly interested in the supernatural: demons, the occult, and mediums. It seems that evil has never had more allies in the media than now. Learn about the influence of media in our culture with this month's resource from Connect with Skip Heitzig. You'll receive the impactful documentary Shattered: Exposing Windows of Evil, hosted by Skip. This full-length film takes you on a journey from the tragic events of Columbine to the dark deceit of the occult. With firsthand testimony from experts, you'll hear about incredible experiences that are not of this world, and you'll learn that God's grace can shatter every deception and reveal the truth about Jesus Christ.

Receive Shattered when you give a gift to the ministry. Request your copy online or when you call 800.922.1888.

Share Jesus' Love through an OCC Shoebox

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts. Bring Christmas joy and the love of Jesus to children around the world by partnering with Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse in Operation Christmas Child. We are currently distributing shoeboxes to those interested in filling them with age-appropriate toys for children throughout the world.

Fill a shoebox with small toys, toiletries, school supplies, and other recommended items, and remember to donate $9 or more to help cover shipping and other project costs. If you choose to donate that $9 online, you will also have the opportunity to follow your box to its destination. Bring your filled shoeboxes to the foyer at Calvary Albuquerque during National Collection Week, November 13-20.
