Join a Connect Group

What are Connect Groups? Not awkward circles or mini home churches or judgmental groups—but authentic, life-giving, gospel-centered communities. Connect Groups are our intentional approach to community and discipleship within the church. These home-based community groups are a place to learn how to apply the Bible, build friendships, and serve—a place to live life together. They are the way in which we can gather under the Word of God and then scatter for the mission of God. Connect Groups make our very large church more intimate and a place for people to call home. Next to worship and Bible teaching, they are the most important thing we do.

Job Opportunity: Worship Director

Calvary Church is looking for a creative, passionate, and visionary leader to take the worship experience at our church to the next level. The worship director brings oversight, management, and leadership to Battledrums Worship and serves as the primary worship leader for all services while raising up a team around them. A key component is their presence on stage and ability to engage our congregation in expressive, Christ-exalting, Spirit-led, genuine worship with excellence. In addition, the worship director leads alongside our songwriting team in the process of writing, recording, and releasing original songs and albums.

At Calvary Church, congregational worship music and musical style are predominately band-driven and feature high-energy, dynamic leadership and engaging, Jesus-centered music. It is vital that the worship director is able to connect with and capture the congregation, engaging them in active participation. Their passion for Jesus, the congregation, and the team must be genuine and contagious.

If you are a gifted, vibrant, called, and Spirit-led leader who desires to take our worship ministry to new heights of expression, creativity, and excellence, we invite you to apply online; no phone calls, please.

In Service Prayer Ministry

C.H. Spurgeon said, "Let me have your prayers and I can do anything. Let me be without your prayers and I can do nothing." The In Service Prayer Ministry gathers in the Plex during the 9:45 am service every Sunday to pray for those involved in all aspects of the worship experience. In addition to praying for the pastors and congregation, we pray for the musicians, the message, and other aspects of the service. Please join us as we stand together in prayer.

Place new, unwrapped toys in the large gift box located in the east foyer. It’s our goal that every child who received Thanksgiving dinner will also receive a Christmas gift through your generosity. Jesus Loves the Broken Devotional Available on YouVersion

Pastor Skip Heitzig explores the reality of depression and brokenness in this seven-day devotional based on his heart-changing teaching series Jesus Loves People. Sometimes it seems that the people who need love the most are often the most rejected, even by the church. But the truth is that Jesus loves the brokenhearted. Using Psalms 42 and 43 as the foundation, discover both the reasons and remedies for spiritual depression through daily Scripture reading, relatable insights from Skip, and For Further Thought challenges.

Start the reading plan online or in the YouVersion Bible App.
