Neil Ortiz's Biography
Neil gave his life to Christ in July of 1993 while visiting Palm Springs, California with friends. After returning to New Mexico the following week, Neil visited Calvary of Albuquerque and has been attending there ever since. Neil graduated from the School of Ministry in 1995 and the Shepherd’s School in 1996. He has served the church in various capacities including teaching Bible studies in nursing homes, leading and counseling in the Drug and Alcohol Ministry, leading short-term mission trips to 12 different countries, and managing the Parchments bookstore from 1996 to 2000. He joined the pastoral staff in 2000 and was ordained on February 27, 2001. In his role as assistant pastor, Neil served as the director of the SOM from 2000-2003 and currently serves as the missions pastor and director of Global Adventures. Additionally, he oversees the Compassion Ministries and Parchments bookstore. Neil and his wife, Jackie, have two daughters: Jaden and Julia.
