New Year's Eve Communion Service

On New Year's Eve 2010, many from our church family celebrated what the Lord has done and looked forward with anticipation to what the Lord has in store for 2011. Before service, families enjoyed a delicious meal of posole and tamales in the HUB while enjoying the traditional music of mariachis. In the main sanctuary, we worshiped the Lord with guest musicians Two or More, and Pastor Skip issued a call to arms—a challenge to dedicate ourselves to the biblical vision of Prayer and the Word of God through expound and express.

Student Ministries' Night

Video updates, live interviews, worship of our Lord, and a message from AJ Villegas made it an exciting evening as Student Ministries Night came to the main sanctuary on Wednesday, December 29.

Guest Speaker - Chip Lusko

Guest Speaker Pastor Chip Lusko brought a timely message on December 26 to inspire us as we enter the New Year. The study from Hebrews 11:24-29, which was titled "When Dreams Die," challenged us to consider whether our dreams are man-made or God-given and trust the Lord in the coming year to accomplish what we could never do on our own.

Christmas Eve Services

We observed the birth of Christ on Christmas Eve 2010 with a very special celebration! Christmas lights, luminarias, and carolers welcomed guests to three services, which featured guest musician Marty Goetz, accompanied by New Life Symphony Orchestra Southwest. Pastor Skip brought us the message "The Light Was About to Shine" from Matthew Chapter 4, in which we were encouraged to step into Son-light and receive the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ.

Worship and the Word with Fernando Ortega

We celebrated Christmas with "Worship and the Word" with guest musician Fernando Ortega and actors Dennis and Wendy Cole on Wednesday, December 22. The special service helped us to escape the business of the holidays to focus wholly on Jesus Christ.

School of Ministry Christmas Party

Students from Calvary's School of Ministry (SOM) celebrated Christmas with a delicious dinner on Friday, December 17. The eager group of learners wrapped up the fall semester with finals that week and viewed the party as a welcome change of pace to the daily studies they've packed under their belts.

"The Best Christmas Present Ever"/Birthday Party for Jesus

Families enjoyed a spectacular evening of festivities at the midweek service on Wednesday, December 15, as the Hallelujah Island Singers presented the Best Christmas Present Ever. A live nativity, Christmas carols, a music and dance production, and the closing Birthday Party for Jesus made it a fantastic night of fun for all.

Food Pantry Christmas Outreach

The light of Christ was shining brightly throughout the campus on Monday, December 13, as the Food Pantry held their annual Christmas outreach. Volunteers distributed food, toys, and the love of Christ to families in need of a little extra help this holiday season.

SkateChurch

It was another great night of ministry at SkateChurch on Tuesday, December 14. Kids enjoyed spending time with leaders, playing pool and video games, and skating the park at the MIX game room. Following a time of worship, Caleb Chavez presented a slideshow about the recent Global Adventures gift box outreach in Mexico.

Caring Tree Nursing Home Outreach

The Nursing Home Ministry conducted seven Caring Tree Christmas Outreaches in 2010. Armed with delicious treats, wonderful caroling, and of course gifts, volunteers were welcomed by delighted residents. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel and Christ's love.

Delighted Christmas shoppers browsed five rooms of beautifully handcrafted goods at this year's Velocity Craft Fair on Friday and Saturday, December 10-11. Lovely displays of ornaments, jewelry, candles, caps, and more made it fun and festive for everyone!

LAFF Monthly Meeting

Life After Fifty Fellowship (LAFF) celebrated Christmas at their monthly meeting on Friday, December 10. They enjoyed a potluck dinner and worshiped the Lord with beautiful Christmas carols before welcoming their special guest, Santa Claus, who spoke about the history of his legend and the true meaning of the celebration: Jesus Christ.

GA - December Festiniño Juárez 2010

A team of volunteers headed south of the border to Juarez for the annual Christmas gift box outreach December 9-12. Global Adventures teamed up with Amigo Fiel to conduct four separate gift box distributions which included loads of fun for children and volunteers alike.

Guest Musicians - Chet Evans, Martha Curran, and Al Pittman

Chet Evans, Martha Curran, and Al Pittman graced the sanctuary as guest musicians on Wednesday, December 8. The group of former Calvary worship leaders reunited for the first time in ten years to lead us in heartfelt praise of our Lord.

Ministry Support welcomed the volunteer leaders of Calvary's many ministries to a wonderful Christmas celebration on Sunday, December 5. A family-style lasagna dinner in the beautifully decorated HUB with lots of games and fabulous prizes made it a fun and relaxing evening for those who serve our body so selflessly.

Ladies gathered at the 2010 Celebration of Light to honor the birth of Jesus Christ and worship Him with guest musician Sarah MacIntosh. Guest speaker Terri Krueger discussed the Ooh La La Christmas for the Wounded Warrior Project and Susie Sandager offered her portrayal of Corrie Ten Boom.

Frosting, fun, and fellowship were enjoyed by the children at Kids' Calling Story Time on Saturday, December 4. Following a reading of Mike Gay's the Real Night Before Christmas by Haley Prox, children gathered to decorate Christmas cookies in Solomon's Porch.

Performing her beautiful original Christmas carol along with a traditional chorus, guest musician Sarah MacIntosh brought the sounds of the season to all four weekend services at Calvary of Albuquerque on December 4-5.

Night of Worship

The Sanctuary was filled with voices of God's people as we humbled ourselves before the Lord in our Night of Worship on Wednesday, December 1. Nick Crespo and the band and guest musicians Ives the Band led us in an evening of praise, and Pastor Nate Heitzig brought a short message, encouraging us to abandon ourselves to reverent intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Guest Speaker - Franklin Graham

Calvary of Albuquerque welcomed President of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Franklin Graham as guest speaker at all weekend services November 27-28. Franklin received a recognition plaque for his ministry among the Navajo people and shared a hope-filled message about the salvation available through Christ. Many received Jesus as Savior in response to his call to faith.

Thanksgiving Banner Service and Pie Social

We declared thanksgiving and praise to our Lord as we gathered as a church family in the Sanctuary for the annual Thanksgiving Banner Service on Wednesday, November 24. As joyful voices sang of God's goodness, families, home fellowships, ministries, and individuals paraded banners announcing what they are thankful for. Afterwards everyone enjoyed diving into delicious Thanksgiving desserts a little early at the Pie Social in the Hub.

Thanksgiving Outreach

Food Pantry volunteers were honored to serve the needs of over 385 people who attended the Thanksgiving Outreach on November 22. In addition to providing holiday foods like turkeys, stuffing, potatoes, and pies, volunteers were blessed to distribute Bibles and see people come to faith in Christ.

With plenty of turkey and all the fixings on hand, BibleIsland hosted their annual Thanksgiving potluck on Sunday, November 21, in the HUB. Families gathered for fellowship, a thank you video, and of course a delicious Thanksgiving feast!

Challenge Men's Monthly Fellowship

The Challenge Men's Ministry wrapped up their fall semester on November 20. Following worship led by Kenny Riley, Dave Row took a final look at the gospel story each believer has to tell in the message "Being Versus Doing."

Guest Musician - Dennis Agajanian

Donning his new brown hat, Dennis Agajanian brought a rousing round of guitar music to each of the services on November 20-21. The congregation was delighted at Dennis's fast flat-picking and the spirit filled music from one the best guitar players in the world.

Communion Service with Fernando Ortega

Joyful songs of the forgiven rose through the Sanctuary as guest musician Fernando Ortega opened our November Communion Service with worship. Pastor Skip then taught the message "The Passover Lamb," focusing on the themes of Redemption and Revelation before we shared in the Lord's Supper.

Guest Speaker - Joel Rosenberg

New York Times best-selling author Joel Rosenberg joined us at all four weekend services on November 13-14. He explored the critical issues facing the people of Israel in a series of messages and returned for a special Q & A service hosted by Pastor Skip on Sunday evening.

Genesis Q & A

After 37 weeks of study in the book of Genesis, Pastor Skip addressed the questions of the congregation during a special Q & A on Wednesday, November 10. It was a wonderful finale to our series and the congregation enjoyed the added treat of special music from our guest musician, Paul Clark.

"Live Faithfully" Fall Semester Celebration

The Women at Calvary wrapped up their fall semester with celebrations of God's faithfulness on Tuesday, November 9. Ladies prepared videos, love letters, greeting cards, banners, and beautiful crafts to share how the Lord has worked in them through the study.

We welcomed Dr. K.P. Yohannan as our guest speaker for all weekend services on November 6-7. K.P. is the founder and president of Gospel for Asia, a mission organization involved in evangelism and church planting in the unreached regions of Asia.

Fall Fest 2010

Gorgeous weather, the hot swing sound of the Rounders, and loads of activities welcomed families to the Fall Fest celebration on Sunday, October 31. Carnival games, pony rides, a soft toy city, and plenty of candy kept children entertained during the outreach. Pumpkin Palooza kept teens busy with pumpkin volleyball, pumpkin carving, pumpkin pie eating contest, and a pumpkin catapult.

Enthusiastic fans rocked at the El Rey Theater as M88 welcomed the Nothing and Everything Tour on Thursday, October 28. Grammy Award Nominated rock band RED, Brian "Head" Welch, Silverline, and The Wedding took the stage with loads of energy for a night filled with amazing music.

Word as Image: The Art of Sandra Bowden

The Artist Fellowship presented "Word as Image: The Art of Sandra Bowden" in the Prayer Chapel October 16-31. The work displayed traces Sandra's interest and intrigue with the Word as image using elements from biblical texts, ancient Hebrew, and medieval illuminations.

Our church family gathered in the Amphitheater on Wednesday, October 13, for "Communion Under the Stars," a joyous celebration of Christ's sacrifice for us. It was a beautiful time of worship and commemoration, as we considered the price Jesus paid on our behalf.

The Women at Calvary experienced a wonderful time of refreshment at both the morning and evening sessions on Tuesday, October 12. The ladies set aside this time to seek the Lord through worship and communion in a service called "Refresh."

The crew at SkateChurch switched it up a little at their weekly Bible study on Tuesday, October 12. The group worshiped together, watched the video "Skate Bible," and then took to the Skate Park and the MIX Game Room for some fun and fellowship.

It was a wonderful celebration of new life as believers gathered in the Amphitheater for the baptism service on Sunday, October 9. Men, women, and children publicly identified themselves with Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection by being baptized.

Scott Missionary Reception

Global Adventures hosted a missionary reception for Kathy Scott on Sunday, October 10. Current supporters and those with a heart for missions gathered to learn about Kathy's ministry in Malishevë, Kosova and to support her ministry through donations and a silent auction.

Chase the Balloons '10

The beautiful sunrise along with over 500 hot air balloons and 183 bicyclists resulted in a very successful Chase the Balloons '10 on Saturday, October 9. Cyclists gathered bright and early at Del Norte Sports and Wellness to support the ministries of M88 Radio, Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, and The Albuquerque Rescue Mission.

Following a delicious potluck dinner and worship, the Life After Fifty Fellowship (LAFF) welcomed missionary Kathy Scott as their guest speaker on Friday, October 8. It was a wonderful time of food, fun, and fellowship.

The OUTLOUD Worship community enjoyed another great time of worship, Bible study, and fellowship at their monthly meeting on Monday, October 4. The evening's fun included a hula hoop contest complete with prizes and a celebration of the October birthdays.

Whether you were looking for a fellowship of Christians with similar interests or a ministry in which to exercise your spiritual gifts, Ministry Expo 2010 was the place to be! Core and compassion ministries, classes, and campus resources offered information about how to get involved at Calvary in booths set up in the Green Belt Park before and after all weekend services on September 25-26.

Calvary of Albuquerque welcomed the Lost Dogs for a very special outdoor evening concert on Saturday, September 25. The band dazzled their faithful fans and captured the hearts of a new generation of admirers with their folk/country sound and moving lyrics.

Revive brought together the young people of Velocity, Vertical, and Renovate for a time of spiritual renewal and meditation on the Lord on Saturday, September 25. With the lights down low and the music loud, students were encouraged to exalt the Lord through worship in song, prayer, confession, and communion.

Live Faithfully: A Study in the Book of James

The Women at Calvary launched their fall Bible study, "Live Faithfully: A Study in the Book of James" with identical morning and evening sessions on September 14. After a time of worship, the leadership team talked about personal testimonies of God's faithfulness and personal transformation. Ladies then gathered in small groups for prayer and to learn more about the upcoming study.

God's Word, great weather, and good times—the kids of SkateChurch had another awesome week of drawing near to the Lord and one another. Following a study from the book of Matthew, skaters enjoyed the Park while others hung out indoors enjoying the MIX Game Room.

Calvary of Albuquerque was delighted to welcome Pastor Chuck Smith as our guest speaker at all services on Sunday, September 12. The service featured worship led by Chuck Girard, special music from Love Song, and a message from Psalm 73 from Pastor Chuck.

Pastor Chuck Smith and Pastor Skip Heitzig hosted The Love Song Band Outreach on Sunday night, September 12. The band performed a mixture of folk, rock, pop, and country music, proclaiming their love and faith in Jesus Christ. The highlight of the evening was Pastor Chuck's appeal for a recommitment to Christ and altar call as Love Song played their classic "Welcome Back."

The Calvary Special Olympics' teams hosted a fun-filled 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, September 11. Teams met on the Calvary basketball courts for some friendly competition, while raising money to support Special Olympics.

Solomon's Porch was filled with the sounds of laughter on Saturday, September 11, during Kids' Calling Story Time hosted by Parchments Bookstore. Monica Griego read If Jesus Came to Visit Me, by Jill Roman Lord, and children cut out paper hearts and wrapped them as a symbolic gesture of giving their hearts to Jesus.

Unite for the Forgotten Kids of New Mexico

Unite for the Forgotten Kids of New Mexico, a benefit concert featuring Fernando Ortega, was held at Popejoy Hall on Friday, September 10. Supporters enjoyed learning about The Aspen Project, Five Stones International, and LifeQuest through a ministry expo and informational video, as well as the musical talents of Fernando Ortega joined by several accompanists.

Ten bands in three days, made for a weekend of countless memories as thousands turned out over Labor Day weekend for Freedom Fest '10 at Cliff’s Amusement Park. M88 fans celebrated with daily concerts, ministry, and amusement park rides.

Young men and women plunged into God's Word on Tuesday, August 10, during the weekly SkateChurch Bible study. Following the message from the Sermon on the Mount, skaters took to the park while others hung out playing pool and video games, roasting marshmallows, or just chilling with their friends.

Powerful worship and solid Bible teaching came to the DeVargas Mall Theater as Metro Santa Fe launched services on Sunday, August 8. The satellite campus of Calvary of Albuquerque offered live worship led by Dan Schwartz and video presentation of Pastor Skip's weekend message.

The Outloud Worship community had a fantastic time at their monthly First Monday on August 2. Worship, testimony, study, and small group made for an excellent evening of fellowship focused on the Lord.

Four-person teams gathered at the beautiful Isleta Golf Club for the 9th Annual M88 Golf Tournament sponsored by Southern Blvd. Automotive on Saturday, July 31. The 18-hole course offered fellowship and friendly competition to golfers of all skill levels, while helping to support the outreach of M88 Radio.

Brian Nixon led a small group of readers in a discussion of James Emery White's Christ Among the Dragons: Finding Our Way Through Cultural Challenges at the Pastor's Book discussion on Saturday, July 31. The group explored key points of Emery's writing, which covers issues such as truth, orthodoxy, and unity.

Women's Boot Camp 5k

Ladies who participated in the Women at Calvary Boot Camp for Spiritual Disciplines gathered bright and early at Del Norte Sports and Wellness on Saturday, July 31, to run, jog, or walk a 5k around Albuquerque Academy. It was a fitting finale to the summertime series which focused on disciplines such as prayer, worship, and fasting.

The July 2010 baptism offered believers the opportunity to make an outward demonstration of the inward change Jesus has made in their lives. It was a joyous occasion as men, women, and children gathered in the Amphitheater on Sunday, July 25, to make a public profession of their faith in Christ.

Youth from Velocity, Vertical, and Renovate gathered together in the HUB on Saturday, July 24, for Revive Worship. The evening was marked by spiritual renewal and refreshment as students humbled themselves before in the Lord in a time of intentional worship, including communion and confession of sin.

Guest Speaker - Levi Lusko

Guest Speaker Levi Lusko joined us for all weekend services on July 24-25 with a profound message from the book of Jonah titled "God Rocks the Punk." In it we explored Jonah's disobedience to the calling of God, and the discipline the Lord meted out to bring him to repentance.

M88 Creation Skate Competition

Skaters braved the sweltering heat to take part in the M88 Creation Skate Competition on Tuesday, July 20. The all day event offered skaters of all levels the chance to show off their skateboarding skills and hang out with friends at The Mix Calvary Skate Park. The evening was topped off with a concert in the PLEX featuring Doc, Relikis, and Othello.

Skip welcomed readers to a book signing of his two latest releases at Solomon's Porch on July 17-18. Members of the congregation lined up to receive their signed copies of "Homeland Security" and "The Daily God Book."

Young people packed The Mix Game Room for SkateChurch on Tuesday, July 13. In addition to worship and Bible study, the group got a video update from the El Salvador outreach, worked on a skateboard canvas for an art exhibition, and took time to polish up on their skateboarding.

Over five hundred volunteers came together to reach out to our community for the first Turn Us Loose event on Sunday, July 11. Summer Luau

Members of the Outloud Fellowship had a blast at their Summer Luau on Friday, July 9. Worship team members and their families were treated to grilled burgers and hotdogs and loads of fun including a dunk tank, dizzy-bat contest, three-legged race, and more! Roasted marshmallows with plenty of graham crackers and chocolate on hand for s'mores topped off the evening.

Dinner, worship, and Operation Christmas Child's Barbara Severson helped to make the Life After Fifty Fellowship a huge success on July 9. Barbara shared wonderful testimonials about the shoe boxes, encouraging the LAFF group to participate in this year's upcoming drive.

Freedom Celebration

Friends, Fellowship, Food, and Fireworks; the Freedom Celebration was filled with fun for the whole family! A huge soft-toy city set up in the Park, a dunk tank, and lots of food vendors were just the beginning of a day packed with festivities. The outdoor worship service featured praise music with Nick Crespo, testimonies of the Lord's grace, and the message "Free to be a Slave" from Pastor Skip. A fantastic fireworks show topped off the day's events, bringing plenty of ohs and ahs from the crowd.

Metro Calvary held Unite - an evening of fellowship and community outside the El Rey Theater on Sunday, June 27. Over 400 people, including Metro Calvary regulars, homeless, and passersby, lined up for the free dinner and learned about the ministry at Metro Calvary.

Parchments book store sponsored the first Pastor's Book Discussion on Saturday, June 26, in Solomon's Porch. Pastor Brian Nixon welcomed the group to hear his thoughts about John Stott's book, The Radical Disciple—Wholehearted Christian Living.

Guest Speaker - John Miller

John Miller, pastor at Calvary Chapel San Bernardino, was our guest speaker for all weekend services on June 26-27. He presented the message, "How to Face Temptation" from James 1:13-18, where we examined its source, its course, and how to conquer temptation. We learned that apart from Christ there is no power to be delivered from sin, and many responded to Pastor John's invitation to trust in Jesus for salvation.

2010 Challenge Men's Rally

Suped-up cars and motorcycles, brats on the grill, loud music, and a fantastic message from Pastor Pancho all combined to make the 2010 Challenge Men's Rally a huge success on June 25. Men of all ages enjoyed the top-notch car show loaded with classic and high-performance classic vehicles, dinner from the grill, the music of Riley Factor, and the message from Pastor Pancho Juarez. It was a wonderful evening of food, fellowship, and outreach to the men of our community.

Communion Service & Baptism Under the Stars

The Communion and Baptism Under the Stars, which took place on June 23, was a moving and uplifting celebration. Joyful music filled the Amphitheater which was packed with believers there to observe the two sacraments of the church. As hundreds identified themselves with burial and resurrection of Jesus through baptism, crowds gathered around the baptismal to encourage and rejoice with them.

Nearly 400 ladies joined the Women at Calvary for the launch of the Summer Series "Spiritual Disciplines Boot Camp." Welcomed with coffee and pastries, the women were happy to get together to explore areas in which discipline is required in their spiritual walk. With a time of worship, a series introduction from Larissa Lusko, and a period for putting the message to practice, the ladies got a rich sampling of the series offerings

High School students showed they have what it takes at Vertical's Got Talent! on Friday, June 18. The talent show featured music and comedy from single and group acts and offered a night filled with entertainment for those who came out to support the Vertical UK Mission team.

Art enthusiasts streamed in to the Prayer Chapel to view an exhibition of selected lithographs and etchings from Marc Chagall titled "Marc Chagall Art & the Bible," which was on display June 13-20. The exhibition provided an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation of Chagall's fascination with the Bible.

As a finale to the day's Re-Grand Opening of the Mix@ the Park, the PLEX was ignited with the crunk sounds of the Urban Missionary Tour on Saturday night, June 12. Holy hip hop artists This'sl, K-Drama, J'son, Pro and DJ Morph packed the night with music, testimonies of Jesus Christ, and sneak peeks of soon-to-be-released music videos. It was a fun night of thumpin' sounds and musical ministry for youth and those who love worship music, urban-style.

Joyful worship and beautiful weather marked the first baptism of the season on Sunday, May 30. Hundreds of believers came together in the Amphitheater to encourage those who came forward to make a public proclamation of their decision to follow Jesus. Velocity Fundraising Dinner & Free Movie Night

Supporting missions has never tasted so good! Families gathered in the park on May 21 for a wonderful lasagna dinner served up by the Velocity Missions Team who was raising funds for their upcoming trip to South Dakota. A free showing of the film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," complete with popcorn and sodas, rounded out the evening.

Guest Speaker - Dr. Ross Rhoads

Guest Speaker Dr. Ross Rhoads brought us an inspiring message from Lamentations 3 at the weekend services on May 15-16. Dr. Rhoads is a vice chairman of the Samaritan's Purse Board of Directors, a chaplain for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and special assistant to Franklin Graham. Many received his invitation to come forward in surrender to Jesus Christ following the message.

It was an encouraging time of study, and a wonderful reminder of a profound reality for the body of Christ.

It was a Cinco de Mayo celebration in the Amphitheather before and after services on Wednesday night. Students and leaders from Velocity middle-school ministry sold chips and salsa served up with real Coca-cola from Mexico! Proceeds benefit the summer mission trip to South Dakota.

We were treated to a lesson in biblical archaeology from Dr. Steven Collins on Wednesday, May 5. Dr. Collins explained the significance of his recent excavations of Tall el-Hammam in Jordan, which is believed to be biblical Sodom, confirming once again the truth and accuracy of God's Word.

Guest Speaker - Steve Wilburn

Pastor Steve Wilburn, our guest speaker, delivered the challenging message "Time to Engage" from Judges 6 at the weekend services on May 1-2. We took a look at the faith and failings of Gideon and were urged to overcome our timidity and walk in God's plan and purpose. Many came forward to receive Jesus Christ in response to the study, and many more responded by making a renewed commitment to boldly share the gospel of Christ.

Vertical High School students grilled delicious chocolate chip and banana pancakes, and served up oatmeal and fruit between services on Sunday, April 25 to raise money for their upcoming mission trip to Hastings, England.

Ladies from Women at Calvary participated in the 2010 Women's Ministry Retreat "FEARLESS: 'She is not afraid…' " held April 16-17 at the beautiful Hyatt Tamaya Resort. The overnight getaway offered ladies the opportunity to enjoy time together while learning to overcome fear with guest speaker Shelly Hurley. Angela DiPrima shared her amazing gift of music throughout the weekend, and women went home ready to face life's complexities without worry.

Record crowds packed the Lobo Stadium this Easter Sunday to celebrate the real meaning of Easter. As the sun rose over the mountains, the morning air was filled with worshiping voices led by Charlie Hall. Pastor Skip Heitzig shared a message from Romans 4:24-25 titled "FORGIVEN." Hundreds responded to the message by going forward and receiving forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Adamah - Life Movement Productions Performance

A bedtime fairytale filled with princes, villagers and villains was the setting of "Adamah," the musical performance presented by Life Movement Productions in the Sanctuary on March 20 - 21. Dancers as young as three years old joined with the more experienced performers in telling the tale of a world held captive by sin and a savior willing to sacrifice all for their freedom.

Teams from all over Albuquerque came out to support this year's Calvary Special Olympics teams, by competing in a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 13. Beautiful blue skies and warm weather welcomed the teams for some friendly competition and the chance to raise funds for the upcoming Special Olympics games.

Families gathered in the HUB on Saturday, March 13, to celebrate the video premiere of the latest Veggie Tales Movie, "Pistachio - The Little Boy that Woodn't," hosted by Parchments Bookstore. God causes all things to work together for good-- that's the lesson kids learned as Yo Snyder shared the book Paddington's Garden at the January Kids' Calling Story Time. Following the story, kids and their parents enjoyed a time of coloring and fellowship.

LAFF Monthly Meeting

The LAFF (Life After Fifty Fellowship) welcomed members of the Vertical High School Ministry to their monthly meeting on Friday, January 8. Following a tasty potluck dinner and a time of worship, students who participated in the 2009 Belize mission trip talked about what the Lord did in and through them on their trip.
