Purpose: Do you have a heart for ministering to the elderly? The Nursing Home Ministry brings the love of Jesus to those who live in nursing homes throughout the city. We serve the residents in many capacities such as sharing the gospel, visiting with them and providing a listening ear, encouraging those who are believers to strengthen their faith, and being a good witness to the staff and families of the residents.
Caring Hands: Assist the leaders at the nursing homes by sitting with the residents, talking with them, showing Jesus' love through physical contact (hugs and holding hands), bringing snack or Communion elements, and assisting with any other task the coordinator may give you.
Nursing Home Minister/Bible Study Teacher: Use your gifts of teaching and ministering to lead a Bible study, hold church services, provide Communion, and worship with the residents. Bring the saving gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to those who may not have heard it, or need their faith renewed.
One-on-One Visitation: Share the love of Christ while visiting residents at a nursing home of your choice. Ideally, visits will occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Use your gifts to share the love of Jesus with non-believers and encourage believers who may be discouraged or feel alone.
Let nursing home residents know there is someone who cares, and a God who loves them more than they can imagine. Share His message by joining this ministry of love.

Purpose: The Usher Ministry plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, worshipful environment at all services. Ushers assist with greeting and welcoming church members and visitors into the sanctuary, and helping them to find seats, as needed. Ushers also help maintain order during the service, by quietly directing late comers to available seating. Following the service, the usher ministry is responsible for picking up bulletins in the sanctuary.
If you are a friendly, helpful person who likes to share the Love of Jesus, consider using your gifts in the Usher Ministry.
Responsibilities: An essential function of this ministry is to provide genuine hospitality while offering assistance and guidance in a gracious, courteous and caring manner. Usher/Greeters ensure order is maintained throughout service, turn in items to Lost and Found, collect bulletins and/or trash left behind in the sanctuary.
Desired Results / Expectations: People are welcomed to Calvary and made to feel loved as Jesus loves us. Maintain a worshiping environment during the message.
